This is a follow up review to my earlier one posted below. After owning this frame for 2 years I can’t say enough good things about it. It has been dead on reliable and I have never had a single problem with it. This is the “go-to” bike in my stable.. I consider Mountain Cycle’s customer service to be among the best in the business. I took this bike on several long North Georgia epics and it did great as an all day bike. The Mountain Cycle Fury was light and nimble while still having the stiffness require for the super tech. It was fun to drop the seat and whip this bike around. The shorter wheelbase and steep head angle made it a fast, nimble turner. Tight, twisty single track is where the frame really shined. If you are used to trails that require fast, tight turns (like or tree infested single track), this could be the bike for you. The Fury’s billed as an “all-mountain” bike but it’s got a definite preference for the downward-sloping bits. That’s not to say it can’t climb, ‘cos it can. The rear suspension isn’t helping you out as much as some of the new-wave designs, but it’s certainly not working against you. And on the way back down it’s an absolute blast. So what we’ve got is a downhill-oriented all-rounder, and there’s nowt wrong with that. It’s just a shame that the seat mast arrangement limits its playtime potential and the lack of bottle bosses will be a limitation for some epic ride fans. These things can be fixed with a telescopic post and a hydration pack, but only you know if that’s a satisfactory solution.
