A long time coming, but the wait is finally over…
The first bike designed exclusively for the emerging Slopestyle category… ...and the most eagerly awaited! Super small - super manoeuvrable - super FUN! Battery has been designed and developed with one thing in mind, having fun! With a geometry set offering a super short (for full suspension bikes) rear end, compact toptube length and tweaked head angle, this bike is sure to bring a smile to your face no matter what type of riding you throw it at. 
The short rear end means that controlling that manual or tucking the back wheel up under you for a bit of extra style or height has never been this easy on a full suspension bike! The compact front end, when combined with the tight chainstay length, makes for a bike that is super manouverable in any situation, and the tweaked head angle give super responsive steering. A big part of the fun of riding this bike is something that is rarely mentioned, but so obvious when you think about it…reliability! Knowing that the last thing you want is to go riding and constantly have problems with linkages and various pivots, we have opted for a super reliable single pivot design fitted with one of the burliest swingarm pivot/axle systems out there. A massive 35mm oversized pivot and four large diameter sealed cartridge bearings ensures the Battery offers the closest thing to ‘hardtail reliability and dependability’ you will ever get from a full suspension bike. 
With a great combination of ‘form and function’, the main swingarm construction has been created almost entirely by CNC machining. Take the time to look closely at this area and you’ll see some awesome attention to detail that will definitely make the Battery stand out from the crowd. At the back of the swingarm are a pair of replaceable dropouts that allow you to replace individual parts should you be unlucky enough to damage them. Changing the dropouts can also offer the option to run either 9mm qr or 12mm bolted hubs. To ensure a strong and stiff mounting for the swingarm, the front triangle of the frame features a familiar Mountain Cycle one-piece yoke that houses both the main pivot axle and the bottom bracket. This component is CNC machined from a single solid aluminium billet to help to increase the stiffness of the frame under pedaling loads and give increased alignment accuracy for the pivot axle. 
Connecting all these individual elements together are some large diameter tubes. These tubes increase the over all strength of the frame, and by increasing the weld contact area at all major tube joins they allow us to maintain the clean stylish look of the frame and reduce the number of extra gussets needed. However, for your peace of mind when using long travel forks, the frame features a 1.5” headtube and additional downtube gusset to increase strength further in this area. Battery will be available as frame only or as a complete bike with a choice of two build options, featuring parts that riders would often choose for their custom build projects Until now only Team riders, one lucky winner of a charity auction and a few test-day customers have had the pleasure of riding the Battery !
