St. Patricks Day Race at Bootleg Canyon

Mountain Cycle had a great showing at Bootleg over St. Patrick’s Day weekend. We had banners everywhere. We even got a ” I have never seen so much Mountain Cycle in one place before” comment.

We co-sponcered the event and provided the rental trucks to carry everyone to the top.

Three trucks total may for an efficant weekend.

Update from Jim D

I’ve just received an e-mail from our US East Coast rider, Jim D,  bringing us up to speed with his latest toy/tool;  the final prototype revision of the long-awaited Battery.

As he says in his mail, a lot of the work that has been done is incredibly subtle, but as one of the few riders who has spent a lot of time on all four of the prototype evolutions, he is very well placed to give us incredibly clear feedback.

The good news is,  this bike is now ready for production. We’ve taken on board all the feedback we’ve gathered over the last 18 months, and those subtle improvements have just helped to make a good bike, great, and now superb.

Sophie Wins a Maxxis!

This week end, our rider from South of France Sophie Borderes went to Portugal to race on a Maxxis Cup !
And she wins !

First race with is Shockwave, and first victory, congrats Sophie !

Shimano Winter Race Series – SoCal

We had a wet weekend in southern California at the second to last Shimano Winter Series Race.  Ken Wood placed 4th in men’s semi pro (on a Sin). We will be back in two weeks to for the last race of that series.

Bootleg Race!

The weekend races at Bootleg went great!

We had a great presence as you will see from the attached photos.
We had a team of 10 of us all wearing the Mountain Cycle colors.
We have a real nice group of prospects who have great potential
Sami, came in first place in his group – Jr. Expert.
Then, Casey, came in first place for his group as well – he ran Mens Sport group.
On Saturday, Ken raced in the Super D and even though his time was faster than everyone else racing Expert Super D, his time couldn’t count as he had flatted in the first 100 feet on his official run, before they let him run again.

We ran the flags on the telescoping poles and we were so visible, that we were the only thing that anyone could really make out from the top of the mountain.

Races in Fontana, CA this weekend and then preparing the team for the races in Bootleg Canyon middle of next month!
