A couple of months ago, we gave you a sneak peek and told you that we were working closely with the famed engineers at BOS suspension.

its been interesting watching them work, there’s no doubt that their grasp of suspension dynamics is amongst the very best in the world. Not talking about the mountain bike world, these guys make world-class suspension systems for racing cars, most of their clients they can never talk about.

What was especially interesting to learn from them, when we took a really detailed look at our suspension systems, how they react to bumps, and interact with the rider. We learned to quite a few things about our bikes, especially the Shockwave, and the good news was that we didn’t learn any bad news…!

We all know that there is no such thing as “the perfect suspension system”, but the lesson I took away with me was that a well designed, solidly engineered pivot, with a linkage driven actuation of the shock, when calculated correctly; is about as perfect as can be made. Like on the Shockwave!

It may be a few months before we give you the next update, but keep your eyes on this blog for more news about BOS!
