MoHo + Zen

The MOHO Softail was introduced in 1994 and it’s patented rear dampening system still puts this frame in the game as one of the lightest, nimblest and best climbing “hardtails” in the world. It was recognized in Germany as one of the 10 best “hardtails” of all time. MOHO 1997

The 1997 catalog said about it :
“The Mountain Cycle TM MOHO TM STS, the bike that started it all. Featuring the delta box/monocoque construction and unique “Softtail Traction System,” the MOHO TM STS rides like no other aluminum hardtail. The front triangle provides stiffness while the STS’s patented wishbones ease the pain of traditionally harsh aluminum frame sets. If you’re looking to ride a hardtail that doesn’t ride like a hardtail, hop on board a MOHO STS.”

Mojo CXS 1997

The 1997 catalog said about it :
“You asked for it, and here it is – the full suspension Mountain Cycle MOHO CXS . It features the same delta box/monocoque construction as its siblings, yet has 3.8″ of fully active rear wheel travel. The sensitive, supple rear tracks over the bumpiest backwoods terrain, making your most exhaustive rides feel like hard pack. Whether you race the Pros or your buddies on the weekend, the MOHO CXS is the machine for you!

Unlike other linkage designed full suspension rigs, the MOHO CXS incorporates Pre-Tensioned, Self Lubricating Composite Bearings, Rubber Seals and Grease Ports. These components combine to give you the longest lasting rear end available on the market today. This means the bike you love today isn’t a fleeting summer romance, it’ll be around for the long haul.”

1997 MOHO ROAD

Another variation of the CXS is the 700c wheel Road version. This has the headtube welded into the monocoque front end at a steeper 73 degree angle, shortening the wheelbase from 42″ down to 40″. It is intended to use caliper brakes. The Polished and Paint finishes are available. $ 1199.99

“Guaranteed to revolutionize the way road bikes are designed in the future, the Mountain CycleTM MOHOTM Road features a 6061-T6 delta box/monocoque frame coupled with classic road bike geometry. It’s light, rigid, and agile and features our exclusive “Softail Traction SystemTM. The “Softtail Traction SystemTM” wishbones operate as a passive damper at a very high frequency, but with very low travel. These features allow the Road to corner like a slot car, sprint like a race car, and ride with the comfort of a luxury sedan. Own the road, don’t just share it. Thus the perfect design for the road. It rides like you are floating on air!

The MOHO Road delivers performance many more traditional rigs can only aspire to.”

The Bicycle Guide, 1997: “The combination of light weight, aggresive position and transparent shifting make this bike a sprinter’s dream.

Zen

Integrating monocoque technology into our lightweight designs was a proven formula for durability and efficiency. These frames are built to last and will provided years of unbeatable performance.

The Reactive Link System on the Zen was designed to flex the seatstays downward during compression of the shock, helping preserve the handling and geometry, as well as reducing the pedalling feedback. The link itself acted as a lateral stiffener to help keep the rear triangle feeling solid in all conditions.
